About

I'm Johan Jino, a computer aficionado and coding enthusiast. I am currently in my 4th Year at Imperial College London studying for an MEng Electronic and Information Engineering. With a solid foundation in Computer Architecture, Compiler Design, and Software Engineering, I'm on track for a First Class. My prime focus has been low level software design, System Performance Engineering and FPGA based hardware design. I am also very much interested in creating and training ML models – my latest creation? An AI bot that owns Flappy Birds like a boss 😎!
Apart from being a engineer, I love playing badminton and have been a national player for UAE. Blitz chess has recently been my stress buster. Also, I love reading science and medicine just to know more about who we are 👨, where we are 🌍 and where we can go 🚀.

Software Engineer.

I will be graduating on June 2025, and I am currently looking for full time graduate roles.

Testimonials

Simon Staal

Software Engineer @ Optiver

I've worked with Johan as a teaching assistant for the Y2 compilers module, where students are required to implement a C90 to RISCV compiler in C++. This is an incredibly challenging project, but Johan and his partner worked extremely hard, and were the only team to produce a compiler capable of passing all seen testcases, which is a significant accomplishment. Johan asked good questions and responded well to feedback, which combined with his technical skills and work ethic I think will allow him to grow into a fantastic software engineer.

Nickolas Butti

Staff Engineer @ Qualcomm

I had the pleasure of working with Johan during his internship, and I wholeheartedly recommend him. Johan is a highly skilled Python programmer who demonstrated exceptional capabilities in refactoring and redesigning an internal tool for performance tracing. His proficiency in coding is impressive, but what sets Johan apart is his excellent communication skills. He effectively gathered requirements from multiple users, showcasing a keen understanding of their needs. His collaborative approach and problem-solving abilities greatly contributed to the success of the project. It was a pleasure to have Johan on the team, and I believe he will excel in any future endeavors.

Sohailul Alvi

Student @ Imperial College London

Working with Johan over the past year has been a truly enriching experience. As teammates on four distinct projects, I've seen him excel as a remarkable solution provider. His ability to break down complex problems into simple, manageable tasks has been a key factor in achieving critical project milestones. Johan is both a fantastic coworker and, when the situation demands, an inspiring team lead. I eagerly look forward to future collaborations with him.
